Object of the Month
In October, the PANEUM – Wunderkammer des Brotes presents a remarkable piece of Japanese craftsmanship: a netsuke made of ivory from the 19th century.
This small figure of a baker holding bread once served as a decorative toggle attached to a belt and tells of everyday life in Japan – while also reflecting the universal significance of bread.
On display only in October at the PANEUM:
Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (last admission at 3 p.m.)
