OBJECT OF THE MONTH IN APRIL: GLASS BEAKER BY FRITZ HECKERT
This glass beaker, made by Friedrich ‘Fritz’ Heckert in Petersdorf at the end of the 19th century, shows a farmer with a horse-drawn plough and an inscription asking for a rich grain harvest and divine blessing.
The motif emphasises the importance of grain for nutrition and at the same time shows the appreciation of the farmer's work.
On display at the PANEUM until the end of April: Tuesday to Saturday, 10-16 (last admission)
