Gingerbread model
What does gingerbread have to do with Easter? And what does the motif on this gingerbread model tell us?
In the past, before the Easter lamb made of sponge cake took its place, people enjoyed gingerbread at Easter. The object for the month of April follows this tradition. We see a gingerbread model with Christian symbolism: on the one hand, the lamb (Lamb of God) and on the other hand the flag of victory and cross. The second represents victory over death, which Jesus conquered. See it on display in the PANEUM until the end of April!
