ALLEGORY OF SUMMER
The four seasons occupy a special place in artistic design.
This is also the case in the works of the porcelain modeler Jean Jacques Desoches, who designed the current object of the month between 1769 and 1774. The reaper symbolizes summer with her attributes of a sickle, ears of grain and a wreath of ears of corn.
The porcelain figure will be on display at the PANEUM in June.
